A lot of people have a misconception that Physics is just numbers and equations. This is false. There are a lot of things in Physics, like forces, motion, and dynamics which indirectly result in Mathematics. Physics is called empirical science, and Mathematics is deductive science. Apart from the subjects, the syllabus covers the definitions and applications of words such as force, acceleration, mass, etc. So to study Physics it's not enough to memorize formulas.
Physics is one of the
toughest subjects to crack in NEET. The concepts of physics are very difficult
and require more time to understand. The questions in Physics are also lengthy
and tedious. NEET has a pattern that stresses understanding than mere memorizing
concepts.
Learning physics is
difficult for aspiring medical students if they follow the wrong approach. Most
of the students will try to understand the concepts of physics by solving the
questions, whereas it should be the other way round. Focus more on concepts and
try to understand the process of derivation. These will help you solve most of
the questions in this section and eventually helps in the preparation.
Study Physics with the
following tips to ace NEET 2022
The students must have
a clear understanding of the fundamentals concepts to crack the examination.
Most of the questions in Physics will be from the class 11 and 12 syllabi, so
the student needs to focus on those topics more.
Since the difficulty
level of Physics is high, it requires special attention to prepare for it.
Thus, KIMA has brought some tips on how to prepare for Physics NEET 2022 that
will help you score well in this subject.
Understand the basic
concepts
All the chapters in
the NCERT Physics textbook have been divided into sections. You will find
different topics under each section. Make sure you read them carefully and
understand the basic concepts thoroughly. Try to solve all the questions given
at the end of each chapter. If you are not able to solve any problem, then ask
your teacher or mentor to solve them for you.
Prepare with diagrams
Drawings not only help
you understand complicated concepts better. It also improves your memory. When
faced with any problem in physics, be it in kinematics, thermodynamics, fluid
mechanics, or oscillations, try to draw a rough diagram of the problem. Simply
looking at the drawing will allow you to understand the question quicker and
solve it more accurately.
Learn physics formula
Physics formulas are a
key component of the subject. If you can learn these formulas, you will be able
to solve the questions more easily. Memorizing the formulas may take effort,
but you will find that the effort will pay off if you practice more and more
questions daily. Another way to memorize physics formulas is to write down the
important formulas, ones that are hard to understand, in a shorthand format.
For example, you can highlight the difficult formulas with a colour highlighter
so that you can have glances.
Experiment with
Physics Concepts
Unlike other subjects,
physics is everything you see right in front of you. If you have a hard time
understanding a certain concept then learns them experimentally. Physics
concepts can be made easy by conducting experiments at home, school lab, or by
taking help from your teacher. Physics teachers usually conduct practical
sessions in class to help students learn and grasp the concepts. So make sure
that you become an active participant during these sessions and try to perform
all the experiments yourself.
Read in-depth and
Practice regularly
The physics subject is
vast, and there are many sub-topics within it. To score good marks, you should
read everything carefully so that you don’t miss out on any key points.
Practice is one thing that if done regularly can help students enhance their
performance. It also develops an interest in the subject. This will also help
them work on their weak points and overcome them over time. Solve previous
years' papers to improve your understanding of concepts.
