Whether you are a student preparing for NEET, you are most likely to get stressed out due to the hard work academics demand. We know that hard work is never going to be easy. If it were, everyone would be successful. But how do we make life easier? To help you with that, KIMA shows you the ways to handle stress while preparing for NEET.

1. Plan and Prepare Well for NEET

To prepare yourself for the NEET exam, you should plan well in advance. Decide on a timetable in which you will take each chapter from your syllabus and complete it. You must try to maintain this timetable as strictly as possible so that you do not miss studying any important topics by the time the exam arrives.

2. Prioritize Subjects and Prepare Accordingly

Several subjects are included in the NEET syllabus. If you want to score good marks in the exam, you need to prioritize certain concepts based on your strengths and weaknesses. For example, if you find Physics concepts are difficult then allot more time to strengthen your knowledge of Physics. This will help you get a good score on the exam.

3. Start revising early

You should start revising what you have studied well before the date of the exam so that you can revise all topics on time and avoid last-minute stress related to cramming a few hours before the examination. You should start revision at least 2 months before the examination so that even if you find something difficult or confusing, there is enough time for it to get cleared by your mentors.

4. Have a Positive Attitude

Having a positive attitude throughout your preparation will boost your confidence. One might think that your attitude has anything to do with the stress. But it has everything to do with it as it prepares your mood in a good way to face all the difficult situations. On the other hand, if you have a negative attitude towards life, then it will only make things worse for you as stress will amplify your negativity and make you feel even more down and depressed.

5. Manage Your Time

This is the most challenging part of your preparation. You need to take out enough time to finish your syllabus and also give some time for refreshments. If you are continuously studying, then the mind will get tired, and you will not be able to focus on your studies. While preparing for NEET, you need to have a good sleep of 8 hours and at least 1 hour for refreshment.

6. Limit Time to Social Media and Friends

During the preparation for NEET, limit your social media activities, friend group chats, and meeting with friends as they can distract you from your goal of cracking the NEET exam with good marks. Students should stay away from social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, etc. so that they can concentrate on their studies properly and achieve their target

7. Don't forget to take breaks

Although it is important to study regularly and start early, ensure that you don't overstress yourself by studying non-stop throughout the day. Take short breaks after every hour or two hours, depending on your concentration level, and do something fun like playing a game or watching a funny video online. This will help relieve your stress levels and allow you to absorb what you learned better.

However, many students get nervous about their performance in the NEET exam due to various reasons like stress and anxiety. Such situations can lead to poor performance in the examination. The only way out is to handle NEET stress is to deal them in a better way.
